Wooden Rowboat with Sailing Rig for sale in Kemah, Texas

$1

I'm selling this wooden row boat with sail rig. I haven't used it in a while, and it's collecting dust. Needs a good home. It is a very classic lapstrake design, well crafted and stable. Built in 1990. The hull is around 15' long and 3' wide. It has two seats, although the mast base can be used as a third. Hull is in decent shape and does not leak - it glides through the water effortlessly. Comes with oars and oar locks if you're in the mood for a peaceful row. If you want to go old school, there is a notch on the transom for sculling. If you'd rather just cruise, you can attach the mast, leeboard and rudder and ride the breeze. The wooden mast is approximately 15' tall and has a lightweight sail. The rudder and leeboard are weighted. This boat is by no means a beauty queen, but it wouldn't take much to get it looking tip-top again. The custom mast plate has seen better days. It is still very functional, but a perfectionist would probably change it out. I can throw in some small mahogany sheets if the buyer wants to deal with that. It is a very classic looking vessel and gets a lot of compliments. We generally launch at Bay Area Park for a nice ride around Armand Bayou. Trailer is included and has new bunks, lights and wiring. It takes a 1 7/8" ball. The hubs have bearing buddies and I filled those up with marine grade grease yesterday (5/22). The tires are tired and wheels ugly, but they hold air fine. There's another tire included, but I'm not sure if it holds air well (I aired it up yesterday and we'll see what happens). Trailer tags are good until April 2013. Both the boat and the trailer will be sold with a bill of sale and are being offered as-is. Take a look at the photos and email me with any questions or offers.
